For many of us in Orangeburg, SC, family night means eating out. You have to find the right place, though. Somewhere within easy driving, with options for everyone, including the picky eaters. Fortunately, there are some great family restaurants within easy driving distance.

1. Original House of Pizza

For lots of folks in Orangeburg, family night is pizza night. And here, that means Original House of Pizza. The restaurant markets itself as a family-friendly spot, and it’s usually filled with children. You can count on it being busy on Friday nights.

The restaurant serves Greek and Italian food. The kid’s menu is full of classics like spaghetti, hamburgers, chicken tenders, and personal-sized cheese or pepperoni pizzas on pita bread. The adults may enjoy pizzas, sandwiches, gyros, or pasta. You’ll have an easy drive making it to their location at 591 John C Calhoun Dr.

2. Rosalia’s Mexican Restaurant

The restaurant is family-run, and they prioritize having a welcoming space for kids. Everyone in your family is going to want to pile in for a trip here. Fortunately, the new Kia Sorento LX has third-row seating, so everyone can join in without needing a second vehicle. You can find Rosalia’s Mexican restaurant located at 1058 Russell St.

This Mexican restaurant is the best place in town if you have a vegetarian in your family. The vegetarian menu includes mushroom quesadillas, creamed spinach burritos, and veggie fajitas. For kids, there are tacos, french fries, burgers, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, or quesadillas.

3. Martin’s Waffles and Wings

Located at 2361 Chestnut St, Martin’s Waffles and Wings is a fun breakfast option for the whole family. Kids will love the fluffy mini pancakes or rainbow waffles with wings. Adults may jump at the Saturday steak special menu. On any other night, the menu of Cajun shrimp & grits is a real standout.

4. Duke’s Bar-B-Que

For families ready to teach their kids about old-fashioned barbecue restaurants and the fun of buffet-style dining, there is Duke’s Bar-B-Que. This is a well-known place in town for quality food and lots of it.

The buffet is open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The restaurant is located at 1298 Whitman St. Adults eat for $12, and children cost $8 each. There are high chairs available and large tables for the whole family.

There’s more than just hamburgers to please the whole family. Now that you have plans set for your large group, you’ll want to be sure you have a safe car with plenty of space for everyone. Check out Superior Kia’s new vehicles page and the new Kia Sorento LX with third-row seating.
