The Sorento Hybrid’s full parallel hybrid powerplant consists of a turbocharged 1.6L inline-4 engine and a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. Together, they produce a total of 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, which get distributed through a responsive 6-speed automatic transmission.
Available on the EX trim and standard on the SX Prestige, a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system maximizes grip as the Sorento Hybrid navigates through harsh weather and over rugged terrain. Easy, predictable handling and a comfortable ride is provided by an independent MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.
Passenger Cabin
