2020 Kia Stinger

The new 2020 Kia Stinger ranks near the top of the small luxury cars in its class. It offers a balanced ride and handling, intuitive tech features, and a better engine performance from last year’s model.

1. Interior

The Kia Stinger is a four-door hatchback that can seat a total of five people. The front seats are nicely padded with soft cushioning to keep you comfortable for long drive times. There’s ample head- and legroom space as well, even for tall adults.

The Stinger features an upscale interior that punches hard. The styling is clean and minimalist, featuring leather upholstery materials, metal accents, and soft-touch plastic. Available upgrades include ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.

2. Cargo Space

The Kia Stinger has 23.3 cubic feet of trunk space and up to 40.9 cubic feet with its rear seats folded. The Stinger also has two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the back outboard seat. It has by far the most cargo space compared to other vehicles in its class.

3. Engine Performance

The Kia Stinger is available in two engine options: a 255-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 365-horsepower 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The base engine has plenty of power available for everyday driving. It has smooth and well-timed shifts and gets up to speed briskly. If you’re after more power and speed, you’ll want the V6 engine. It can move the Stinger from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds.

4. Ride and Handling

Stinger manages to offer a fun driving experience without compromise on the quality or performance. It feels very stable around turns, while the steering is quick and nicely weighted. The suspension easily handles most bumps and dips in the road while yielding a comfortable ride.

The eight-speed automatic that comes in every Stinger is lightning quick and mostly well-calibrated when left to shift for itself. The paddle shifters offer a much sharper response to driver inputs.

5. Safety Features

The Kia Stinger earned the highest rating of Good in all six crash tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Kia comes standard with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

It also received a top safety pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Stinger also has nearly every driver assist feature you can think of as an option. Available safety features include:

  • Front parking sensors and forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection
  • Adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning
  • Lane-keep assist and a driver drowsiness monitor
  • A head-up display and adaptive pivoting headlights
  • Automatic high-beam headlights

The new Kia Stinger is a comfortable car to love. It’s fun to drive, spacious, and loaded with features. It is generously well-equipped for its low price point with an interior that’s well designed. To find out more, contact Superior Motors Kia today
