Selecting a Kia that suits your needs for on-the-road travel time is easy with three models to choose from with assorted features and options. In the Kia hybrid family, choose from the Niro Plug-In, Optima Hybrid, and the Optima Plug-In Hybrid.

Exterior Look and Interior Feel

For the look, feel, and spaciousness of an SUV, the Niro Plug-In subcompact crossover offers what’s needed for a comfortable and convenient road trip. The exterior design is smart and stylish with attention to detail from the grille to the headlights. The Niro is easily accessed and user-friendly for the driver and passengers. The cabin is roomy and well-appointed with quality upholstery, ample cargo space, and an array of driver and passenger features.

The Optima Hybrid and the Optima Plug-In Hybrid sedans are equally impressive with their sweeping hood and roof, smooth lines, enhanced contours, expressive headlights and taillights, and chrome accents. The 4-door sedan has plenty of exterior curb appeal, ample interior room, plus a variety of standard and optional features such as heated seats, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, and 60/40 split-folding seats that optimize the cargo area.

Performance

The hybrids aren’t lacking in power. The 2020 Optima Hybrid and Optima Plug-In Hybrid are fitted with a 2.0-liter engine. The Niro Plug-In Hybrid has dual continuously variable valve timing (CVVT), a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine and an AC synchronous permanent magnet motor producing 139 combined horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

Engine-wise, the Niro and Optima Hybrid run on what is referred to as a full parallel hybrid system, which means both use a GDI (gas direct engine) and an electric motor. The independent suspension of the Optima Hybrid provides easy handling and maneuverability, and superior aerodynamics and insulation provide a quiet and comfortable ride. The hybrids also have a quick response time to driver commands whether traveling in town or on the open road, which means less stress when navigating twists and turns.

Infotainment

Infotainment and entertainment are important whenever you’re driving for any extended period. The hybrids have available features that include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, UVO eco 8-inch touch screen, voice-command navigation system, Bluetooth with hands-free connectivity, USB audio input and charging port, and rear-camera display. Stay entertained with SiriusXM Traffic and HD radio, Harman/Kardon premium surround sound with Clari-Fi, integrated subwoofer, and 8 speakers.

Safety Features

Safety is an area where the Kia hybrids excel with features designed to provide the vehicle and passengers a safe and secure ride. The Drive Wise suite of features include forward collision warning, driver attention alert, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and pedestrian detection.

When a road trip is on the agenda, leave the stress behind and drive it in style behind the wheel of a fuel-efficient Kia hybrid that aims to please every mile of the way.
