Located at 1280 State A&M Road, the Hillcrest course is a unique experience of championship golfing and a great time to be had by all. Opened in 1973 and designed by Russell Breeden, this municipal course presents an 18-hole challenge for golfers of all skill levels. This par 72 course stretches 6,722 yards, giving you plenty of room to test your skills.

But that’s not all! The Hillcrest also offers several club facilities, including locker rooms, a pro shop, and even an onsite grill. 2. Orangeburg Country Club

The Orangeburg Country Club is located at 2745 Griffith Dr. NW. Here, amid tall pine trees and scenic views of the Edisto River, golfers can challenge themselves on an 18-hole championship course. The 615-yard 18th hole has been rated by the South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel as one of the most challenging closing holes in the Midlands.

Renovated by architect Richard Mandell in 2009, this facility boasts deep bunkers and lush fairways. The course also features a driving range and two putting greens alongside a two-acre short-range practice area. The Orangeburg Country Club has hosted special golf tournaments and events over the years, further emphasizing its longstanding legacy as an essential Midlands destination.


3. Calhoun Hills Golf Complex

Those who seek a perfect golf course getaway will love the Calhoun Hills Golf Complex located at 200 Country Club Rd, St Matthews. This serene 18-hole course was masterfully designed by Ellis Maples and features hardwood trees throughout its gently rolling hills. There are membership packages available, so you can make a regular habit of playing on this picturesque course.


4. River Birch Course

Located at 128 Paw Paw Road in Bamberg, this course provides 18 holes of delight for golfers of all abilities. Originally opened in 1981 and designed by Russell Breeden, the course features many lakes, large undulating greens, and four sets of tees.
