Finding an affordable sedan that fits your needs and lifestyle is easy with the 2020 Kia Forte. But if you’re having difficulties deciding which of its trim levels is the right one for you, here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from each one.

FE

Each 2020 Kia Forte trim level, except for the top-level GT, is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The FE comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but you can choose the continuously variable automatic transmission that comes standard on the rest of the trim levels.

In addition to this power, you’ll also be able to enjoy driver-assist technologies such as automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. The 8-inch touch screen mounted on the center stack is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

LXS

The LXS adds multiple drive modes that let you decide how you want to tackle the road ahead. You’ll also get 16-inch alloy wheels, a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat that lets you open up the rear cargo area, automatic headlights, and black accents on the bumper. The LXS also has more exterior paint options than the FE, adding Currant Red and Deep Blue Sea.

GT-Line

The Forte’s GT-Line trim starts introducing some sought-after sporty stylizations. Enjoy 17-inch graphite alloy wheels and a sport grille, side sills, caps for heated side mirrors, and a spoiler. Inside, you’ll find a new D-shaped leather-wrapped steering wheel, a keyless ignition, and an upgraded six-speaker audio system. The GT-Line is equipped with a blind-spot monitor that makes changing lanes stress-free.

EX

The EX takes away the GT-Line’s sporty exterior upgrades, but it adds plenty of interior luxuries. To help you tackle any weather in your Forte, the EX comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats, a dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear-row air vents. The seats are upholstered in SOFINO synthetic leather trimming, and the driver’s seat is power-adjustable.

GT

The Forte GT is the sport-minded trim with a more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The GT has two transmission options: a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic or the six-speed manual. In addition to these power upgrades, you’ll also have a special-tuned suspensions system, high-flow active exhaust, and paddle shifters with the automatic transmission to excite your drive.

The GT also brings back the cool stylings of the GT-Line. It has unique 18-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, and sport seats. The GT has access to the premium Harman Kardon audio system, rear parking sensors, and more driver-assist technologies, such as cross-traffic alert. The GT has access to all the packages and upgradable features, so if you want a Forte with it all, this is the way to go.

Come take the 2020 Kia Forte out for a spin at Superior Kia in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This affordable sedan has much to give to drivers who want an equipped commuter without having to empty their wallets.
